JEWISH QUARTER
The Catalan Jewish was a key minority for many Centuries. ROMAN
The origin of Barcelona lies in the foundation of the so-called Barcino by the Romans. The persecution of early Christians by the Roman authorities will be followed with some stories of Martyrs, as St. Eulalia. The devotion to that teenager Saint will be pinpointed in the different corners of the many narrow streets. The first invasions of Barbarian People will help us to introduce us into the early Middle Ages. From then onwards, Visigoths, Muslim and Franks, all of them left their seed and their stone overlapping within the perimeter of that Roman Barcino.
HOLY TOUR

In a chronological way explanations will start in the times of the Romans, with the price paid by the first Christian believers. The popular figure of St. Eulàlia and the stories around her will be one of the issues treated. The different architecture styles that accompanied the power of the church through the centuries will be pinpointed by the guide when passing by some streets. We will travel from Romanesque in St. Lucy or St. Pau del Camp to Gothic and Renaissance until Baroque. MODERNISME (ART NOVEAU)
After the necessary social, economic and National framing to make sense of the New Town, we will visit some of the most remarkable Art Noveau buildings which is like the touch of irrational emotion in to the orthogonal planning of the Enlargement.
Differences between the Gaudí, Domenech and Muntaner, and Puig i Cadafalch buildings will be stated. These are the vedettes from the times. Although together with them many other artists from the times helped to embellish the town by the turning of the Century some hundred years ago. (around 150 building have been catalogued as Modernist sites). From the pavement tales to sculptures from Llimona or Miquel Blay, really Barcelona keeps a treasure of Modernist heritage.
We can give you the historic and estetic background to afterwards guiding you to the museum you choose. Specially in such a big museum as the MNAC the selecction made by the guide would be usefull to get to understand the most important works. Besides the content of the museums we would also coment the continent: medieval palaces for the Picasso; neoBarroque for the MNAC and Modern for the Miró Foundation.

- 70 € per Tour up to 4 people. (Every addtional person = 10 € / underaged Free). Each tour goes for 2 hours.
- If you want to do two tours in a row, namely a full service = 4 hours, the tariff is 140 € (max. 15 people)
